Received a letter back in June, only open it now and basically it was telling me since I service with mb dealer, I am entitle to MOT protection.
My car failed its MOT (at a local garage) due to suspension arm ball join cover cracked. I then bought the car in for mb to fix the issue which costed me >1000 pounds and then pass the mot with mb.

Have anyone with any experience with the mot protection?
I have emailed them and will see what they reply.

No idea really but would imagine it will only be covered if MB garage do the MOT.

yea the repeat mot done by mb.
Feel a bit silly now not getting them to do the mot in the first place! but then a local garage charge 30 while mb charge you 60 for the same test providing the same certificate anyway, can't justify paying the extra at the time

yea you right, they charged me 54.85... i suppose if i know about the mot protection, it could justify paying that extra 25 pounds...
anyway received a letter from the post ''We are always concerned that our service may not have met our customers' expectations and aim to deal with series both quickly and professionally', stating that their customer support team will contact me asap. Impressed by their speed to response via letter. Will wait and see when the customer support team make contact...

I had a similar letter eleven months after the service (and three months after the car had failed its MOT!!). In my case I would not have been covered anyway as there was a bulge in the side wall of the tyre caused, I suspect, by potholes so I didn't pursue it with MB but I am fairy sure the small print says you have to have had the MOT done by MB to qualify for the cover
