My car is due for its MOT soon, and I wondered if it would be best to take it to a dealer, an independant, or am I just being over fussy and should just take it to a local garage? This is my first Mercedes and would hate to be ripped off especialy by someone who dosent know what they are doing! Any one got any suggestions for somewhere in the Potteries area?

Thanks

Roy

i would go to a dealer, i have always found that when people (ie normal garages) see you have a benz, they rub thier hands.

unless you have a mechanic you are well acquainted with and you trust thier hosety and sincerity and the respect is mutual.

its like the scenario, you have a benz on your driveway, someone knocks on your door from a roofing company to say you have a dodgy roof!

We just took our car in for it's first MOT earlier this week, we had totally forgotten it was 10 days overdue :?

I phoned the local dealership to book it in, only to find out that although they could take the car in the following day they didn't actually do the MOT's on site and the cars were taken elsewhere and they couldn't even give us a rough estimate of how long it would take.

In the end we went to a local garage where they do them whilst you wait and it passed with flying colours :D

With the new type mot you must book the car in for a time slot,so you can wait while it gets inspected.its only another car to the tester,he works on more prestige cars than a merc every day.
