E class 220/2016/2L
Hi,
I have a 2016 E class with the Sennheiser system.
I have managed to tag all my music with album art work which shows up nicely on the center media console.
However I'm unable to get it to display on the cluster display in front of my steering wheel.
Is this possible, do I need a different image type or size.
Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Jim

Hello and welcome

I think the area in steering wheel screen is too small to display the artwork. It’s probably designed that way for safety as it’s probably not essential to be checking out your album covers whilst driving...

I’ll second BC's comment. I can’t see how I could get Album Artwork on my small central display.

Deviating slightly - my apologies - how do I get the artwork displayed on my main screen: smart EQ 2020 Prime Exclusive?

It was perfectly fine in my old A200 with an Android head unit.

Just the standard mp3 files, recorded off iTunes on my MacBook Pro (all hidden duplicate files removed in Linux VM).

There must be some Windows trick / extra step to make Mercedes own system see the artwork embedded, I'm sure?

All depends on what system they use in Smart. I know Comand is quite fussy about image sizes etc. This thread is the one I used to edit my music files where artwork wasn’t showing.

Thanks, I'll run my music collection through this app, hopefully that will work.

I didn’t actually use the app but just used their info to make manual adjustments to the 10% or so of my music which weren’t showing the correct images,

My (MBUX is it?) doesn't show any album art at all from the current USB, although when I tried a few different cards / flash drives in the first week after the car was delivered, it did show some pics ... so am pretty sure it just the matter of 'translating' my mp3 files (with no separate jpeg /png files at the moment) to the format it'll understand.

Have you tried page 126 of this manual?
It's two models behind my car, but yes, of course: a very similar "display album art" selection in the menu - tried on/off and anything in between  I do read manuals ... although the one I got with this car is 80% warnings of not touching hot surfaces and not sticking one's fingers into power sockets, etc.
