MPG indicator

I have a 99 (pre-face lift) CLK 320. On the digital dash display (which displays time, total miles and trip) is there a mpg display, and if there is, how do I access it?

If you have the 4 buttons on the left hand side of the steering wheel, press the bottom right one and you will get the MPG figures from startup. Press the top right one and you will see how much fule you have left and range, press it again and you will get MPG figure since reset.

I have no buttons on the steering wheel, just ones on the dash
