I Was Only Pondering This Question Over Last Weekend, I Have Had Mudflaps Fitted To Every Car I Have Owned, To Protect Bodywork, And I Always Felt The Car Looked Lower, And More Sleek With Them, But To Date I Have Not Fitted Them To My Current E W211. I Really Do Not See Many Of This Model Fitted With Them. It Will Be Intresting To See How Many W211 Owners Have Fitted Them

I've considered them myself but never got as far as doing anything about it.
I think the front would benefit, especially when you've got fat tyres, not sure about the rear. Anyone know how much they are?

~£140 IIRC, I was looking at the 'most popular options' list in my dealer on Wednesday.

Pros: Keep the car much cleaner. Look nice*

Cons: Reduced mileage (never thought of that one Blob) Look awful*

*It's a personal choice. I did think about putting them on the CLK, even went as far as to buy a set (which I ended up selling again unfitted) but wouldn't like them on the E Class. Some do though, mate of mine has them on his E270 (W211).

If we all liked the same thing we'd all be driving the same car (with or without mudflaps :D)

I think a lot of it depends on the roads that you regularly drive on.

Here in Norfolk at certain times of the year there is more mud on the roads than in the fields, and in my opinion mud flaps are essential if you want to keep your car half clean.

They do also cut out a lot of the stone chips that you get on the bottom half of the front doors and rear wings.

Get The Flaps

Did you get the mudflaps then? I always have them fitted; reduces tar spots, stone chips etc. and keeps the car a lot cleaner and to say that they cause more fuel usage - well you got a car like tha and you're bothered about an additional 30p per tank full!!!!!!
