Multi changer drawer problem

Hi all recently acquired a 2007 E280 CDI and the door closes fine but clicks and shudders on the way up with a nasty clicking noise I have to push it up to stop it :-(

On top of which the multi changer doesn't appear to work and is just whirring.

Not that bothered as I have a music streaming solution but it's bugging me

Any thoughts?

Sorry don’t know that particular model- where is the multi-changer?

Its under the command unit, silver button under the warning triangle lifts the draw - multi changer is behind it

The CD changer in my R230 does the same thing - as in it whirrs but doesn't actually play any CDs. I managed to find someone who would repair it and talking to him, it seems like it is a common issue. Just need to remove mine at some point so that I can get it fixed...
I found the repair guy on Ebay.

thanks - to be honest I would rather just remove it and have a new cubby hole
