Music cutting out

Music cutting in and out when I connect ph via Bluetooth. Sometimes I cannot forward next track. I have to open and close music app. I have to this a few times before I get a straight flow of music. I have authorised my ip7 and done External connection. 1st Mercedes please help

we've seen more an more odd music playback glitches in recent months...

people need to remember transmitting info over BT has security risks - the scum out there like any opportunity to get at your phone to spend your money from your banking app and to work out where you are so they can sell or steal something. There's new zero day bug going round android as we speak. (Zero days faults are nice new flaws the scum found and started abusing, before anyone else even new there was a problem they should have fixed 18 months ago).

So everyday hundreds of thousands of IT people are trying to patch up bugs in windows /apple /android /your car /basically any electronic devices, whilst most governments are paying hackers to install new ones, meanwhile thousands of criminal empires are living of the stolen proceeds of unpatched devices.

Occasionally a security patch comes out - but all too often the fix is so draconian the way your car talked to the device has fundamental been altered... In a sensible world they work in cooperation with each other, and the fixes for the device and the update to the car come out together... but it doesn't work like that.

If your car has a current hi end system they have just developed - and the bad press might hit social media - a patch might show up in 6 to 12 months. If its over 4 years old, its just vulnerable and buggy going forward

Try a complete reboot of your phone. Make sure no other apps are running in the background.

Do you have a camera in your car that the phone connects to by chance? I had very similar on a long drive once and found it was the camera taking over the Bluetooth from the phone to the car.
