My 2000 A190 lost power.. Engine diagnosis light is on!!

Was driving today and my car lost power and could not accelerate cleanly. The car was holding back. The engine diagnosis light is now always on. Any ideas what the fault is. Hope its not too expensive. When i turn the engine off and back on again the car drive ok for about 10 minutes and then the fault comes back.

Your MAF will need to be cleaned or replaced, it is a large sensor that measures the incomming air and adjust the fuel to suit.

If i managed to clean the maf, would the engine diagnosis lamp on the dash turn off or do i have to get it reset?

the air flow is all part of the ecu on "a" class models, if you can get away with cleaning it all well and good,replace....loadsamoney!!. Now they can be repaired and air flows on these is preety common try www.ecuclinic.com
