- A150 2005 1498cc CVT
Howdy,
Yesterday we bought a 2005 A150 Auto CVT as a 2nd car for the missus.
We had a W168 many years ago and we loved it.
I come from years of driving mostly Vag vehicles. Currently drive myself a Ford Galaxy 1.9TDI that I love to pieces.
I had a tough time finding anything in Auto on my budget of £2k as all sellers seem to be car flippers and dishonest.
I ended buying a fairly tatty one on the outside with no service history with 99k for £1600 but it drive faultlessly and the previous owner had it for a coue of years and I took the plunge as we need something for my wife to start driving again.
In the next days/weeks/months I will be sorting the little issues and evaluating how much I want to get into it.
Amongst them
Need 2 new tyres
Want 4 oem hubcaps or a set of rims if I find some
Bonnet Lever (currently pulling with a zip tie.
Rear jet
Floormats
Cargo cover
Re-glue the mirror
2nd key? (only have the safety one for the remote and ignition, not sure if I can source one outside an MB dealership)
Find online a maintenance schedule and specs (transmission fluid specs, filters, motor oil specs etc)
Perform a full service.
Address a chirping noise at idle, hopefully a serpentine belt. It does it in park as well as in drive so I am hoping is not related to the gearbox.
Inspect and address a slight squeegy noise when steering stationary. Maybe is normal.
I have most tools I need and space outside to do most thi gs not requiring a lift and an assistant.
So there it is,
You will see me asking many questions.
Forums are amazing and hopefully I can learn and contribute here as well.
Cheers
