E300 hybrid 2014
Hi guys this is about of a funny one. I've got a 2014 e300 hybrid which runs perfectly only issue I have is when going over some speed humps the bottom of the car will scrape the hump. There are times when a literally crawl over them. The tyres are factory fitted and I did inquire about a change in these i.e fitting tyres that have a bit bigger walls then I have now so to raise the car of the ground but mercedes did not recommended this and said the tyre size I have on atm are the only option. Any help would be appreciated. Thank you

Hello and welcome,

Don't "straddle" speed bumps, it puts a great deal of pressure on the unsupported inner rim which leads to cracked alloys and knackered tyres. Put one wheel through the gap between the bumps and the other "slowly" over the middle of the other bump

Hi and welcome to the forum :) Of course full width speed humps will be a different issue, I am surprised that an E300 bottoms out on a speed hump unles the previous owner has messed with the suspension height
