My first 230TE 1991

This is my first mercedes and i think i got myself a very good bargain, have purchased it from ebay and it all looks well maintained, but the only thing that wories me is the mileage, as it is around 250000, and i was just wondering how far these machines can actually keep going for, on the plus side it has had a new top-end and is rust free...was wondering if anyone has a higher mileage or experience with higher mileage vehicle...Adam

I wouldnt worry about the milage, we have a 230e (same engine) and it has 225,000 miles having had no real work done, just down the road there is an older 230e with 450,000km on it...! Just drive on, and at the price you probably paid for it, if something very expensive does happen you can just throw it away!
