My last Mercedes

My last Mercedes was written off, it was a total mess, chassis was twisted all the door gaps closed up after a real bad shunt from behind. Amazed to see it is back on the road albeit in another part of the country, I thought when the scrap yard came to collect it it would be crushed. I still have the folder with documentation and the spare key. I also filed it as scrap with DVLA.
I wonder if the new owner realises what they are driving.

Change plates, stamp a new vin job jobbed... just don't interrogate the car with diagnostics...

I went on the .gov site, same make, model and colour reg R200 PUP, hope no one here has it.

It seems too much of a coincidence to me. Even the date of first registration matches.

Another story, the insurance company registered the car as scrap then dvla wouldn’t let me use the reg again, I had to claim it back before being registered as scrap, I had words with the insurance company, they didn’t know it could not be registered back to me after it had been scrapped, likely story. They even tried and failed so I had to buy another.
I now have RS11PUP, Rob Sue and our two Westies.

That’s a real shame, I’ve had my reg for 20 years now and would be lost without it.
Hopefully this doesn’t happen to me but if the worst should happen I’ll know what to do.
