hi all, just wondered if anyone could cast a bit of light on a subject for me...
i have a sprinter 311 2.2cdi wich wont start fault code p1661 injector voltage 1 undervoltage. the van trys to start for about 2 seconds and then cuts out wich is when the code is logged. i have checked engine bay wiring down to the last inch for rubs/shorts paying particular attention to engine mount and bulkhead area. all ok. i noticed on checking that the big rubber grommets on the bulkhead were displaced and on inspection the brain had evidence of water ingress. the brain was further condemmed by ecu clinic in west wickam, as unfixable. i live in northern ireland and the only two mercedes dealers over here have refused to take the vehicle on at all. so that leaves me well and truly up the creek. QUESTION> can i buy a second hand brain and matched keys and key reader, fit them and they will work without programming? if not has anybody any ideas or advise please.. this van is half my fleet and rental costs are crippling me. please pleasee help me
