Hi all,
Strange one this! I just opened the main (engine bay) fuse box on my 2006 CLK200 Kompressor, and discovered a small multi pin plug, which wasn't plugged in? It has a label attached, with a part number A2034409208. I plugged it back in and nothing happened? I bought this car around 2 years ago and haven't needed to open the fuse box before. It doesn't contain the fuse diagram in the box, and I haven't got the owners manual, so, no idea what this is for? I would appreciate any help in identifying this, and what it does? Thanks!

many many years ago ..... I found a plug & a socket behind the glove box of my Senator not connected, so obviously not knowing what they were for - connected them together  Nothing seemed to happen! A little later I drove a few miles to my parents house and when I got out of the car could hear something whirring ... It turned out to be the starter motor spinning!!!!
I quickly dived under the bonnet & disconnected the battery and then disconnected the plug & socket from behind the glove box.
All was then well with the world!:cool:

Yeah I did that as well, hence post. Thing is, I have been having trouble with the Battery going flat? Tried a new Battery, and it helped for a while, but it's now doing it again? Previous owner had replaced Alternator, Battery, and Drive Belt, so I think it may have been happening for some time? When I saw the plug in the fusebox hanging there, I did wonder if it was disconnected for a reason? So, bit the bullet, and re-connectedit again, and...nothing? No warning lights etc. so, just left it in. Strangely, the car started ok today? Have now ordered a replacement Owners Manual, but thought maybe someone on here would know, off hand what it was. :)

Have you tested your new alternator to see its working, it could be the new alty is non genuine and not all the wires add up.

Double check the part no, alternatly look on 7zap to id the part and see what it is for
