:?: State-side does not have a W124 1995 E220 so here goes in Blighty.
Viewed through a 50 mm hole in the exhaust manifold heat baffle (LHS) is a screwed plug ( 40 mm dia) in the manifold casting.
WHAT IS THIS FOR ??
I have a very small crack (paper thin) from the plug down across the casting, and there is evidence of a liquid leak.
I cannot believe MB service the manifold with coolant ?? but who knows ?
....or is this a plugged hole in the manifold...maybe facility for a catylitic function ??
I do not want to disturb the plug without knowing what am in for.
