Mystery socket

Hi everyone found this socket in my glove compartment c200, w204, 2010 can someone tell me what it's for, thanks

Terrible photo... you could do with something other than a "potato" to take pictures...

It looks like it might be the iPod interface socket - you can get the relevant leads from eBay - I have a 3.5mm jack adapter that I feed my DAB into the comand

Sorry about the picture but it's on the top inside the glove box with about 4 inches to get the camera in, thanks for the reply

It’s for the Becker maps module for the shat nav

I’m with @Blobcat - it looks more like the socket for the media interface (iPod connector basically) rather than a dock for the Becker Map Pilot. That needs a specific fitting to hold the Becker box, not just an outlet.

W204 satnav is NTG4 (or 4.5 in the facelift), the Becker in W205. That connector looks like some form of media interface as mentioned above.

Was on here looking for something completely different, but I have a '13 w204 that I'd love to get my old iPod working with it. The cable came with the car, but I can't for the life of my find the socket, it's not in the glove box though. This post gave me hope to might be. Just can't find it anywhere.
