Hi, can anyone help me?! I've got Version 3.0 Audio 50 APS discs in my 2005 SLK - what is the latest version and where can I buy them at a reasonable cost?! Thank you!
A word of warning - dont use pirated/copied disks. They often dont work and can cause problems with the player. Try E-BAY or our very own ALFIE. If he cant sort you out, then nobody can.
Thanls forn that verytalldave I didn't particularly want to buy from e-bay for that very reason. Someone has got a disc but it's Version 4 and I'm not sure it's the latest one. I think they are somewhere in the region of £200+ new and as I'm only doing approx 4k miles per annum I'm reluctant to spend that much if I can help it..... the tight wad that I am!
As you say, £200 is about the going rate for a new disk. MB charge a bit more.
Be careful and you can source a genuine up to date disk from E-bay. Just get total confirmation from the seller that it is an ORIGINAL OFFICIAL DISK and not a copy - and ask for a guarantee that it will work. Only consider buying from a seller with either 100% or near 100% feedback.
Expect to pay in the area of £80 or thereabouts. Anything less than £50 could be dodgy.
I did wonder whether MB might offer an upgrade (?) my MB is on a 55 plate but the disc seemed to be out of date when I bought the car last October.... there again that's probably wishful thinking!!
My car is on a 54 plate and came with version 2.2 - so perhaps version 3 on a 55 plate might not be wrong................
However, theres no harm in asking - they can only say no.
And I am sure a little female wile wouldnt go amiss in a situation such as this........
If you know what I mean.............
I guess they all go out of date pretty quickly! I've got a Tom Tom which is really useful but for aesthetics I'd rather just use a disc..... women - we're never satisfied are we?!
