Merc 200 Avongarde Kompressor :
Any info going arround on what seems to be abnormally high wear on the near side rear tyre. Car has done 14000mls all other tyres are in excellent cond, this one needs changing :? :?
well im a newbie and i may be wrong (correct me please ) but ussualy the back right wheel is ussually the driving wheel in most cars thus resulting in more wear? or it could just simply be something like tirepressures......look into those two ideas
sounds like wheel alignment as prevous post says, could be any wheel causing wear on that one. The good news is that MB's are adjustable on all four corner's. Might not sound that good but it is quite unusual. I would recomend full Geo check on MB equipment but it is quite dear about 180 pound ( but very good)
NSRear...it's due to your driving style...sliding around corners and rounabouts....had the same thing on my old Saab 900 Turbo and that's front wheel drive...nsr bald as a coute in 7000 miles..others were perfect....after I got used to the car and the play factor reduced I managed to then get it up to 12,000 and eventually around 15K..so all depends on how you want to drive it!
I had a similar problem on a VW Golf after it was lowered. A local Peugeot dealer had 4 wheel alignment equipment and set it up for £40. It was a different car after that !
