Hi

I need to buy one of these clips. It holds the liner of the boot lid in place (the carpeted piece that you can see when you open the bootlid). Anyway, have been looking on Ebay as I figured it might be cheaper, plus I have a voucher that I can use there too.

Anyone got a link for one of these that will fit? I've been looking but can't seem to find one. The one that I removed is grey in colour.

Cheers

I think they're called plastic push rivets, you need to measure OD and length to have a chance of getting the correct size!

eBay - buy a packet, and you’ll have spares for when the next one dies!

I use THIS SUPPLIER for most body trim fixing clips. You can search the site by manufacturer which helps. They are also handy for unusual or old stock.

There's also THIS EBAY SHOP which usually has lots of stock.

Thanks. Now I'm wondering if the clip I removed is actually the right part in the first place? I can't see any on Ebay that look like the one I took a picture of. Wondering if that's why it doesn't hold the panel in place - its the wrong clip.

Anyone know for sure or have a part number? Or even a schematic for the boot lid? Its not a big deal but I've been meaning to buy a clip for it for ages.

All the ones I've found on Ebay either look different or state that they're not compatible.

Thanks

Update - think I've found a schematic of the boot lid and the part number looks like its 000-990-57-92. Only available in the US if I use Ebay. Definitely not paying for the shipping from the USA! Might just have to call the local dealer instead.
If anyone knows anywhere worth trying, let me know.
Cheers

You'd be surprised. I asked MB parts for them to re-fit the tail gate panel of my R Class .... how many he asked, Oh! Just give me 10 .... That'll be £16 please!:eek::eek::eek: £1.60 each!!! The next time I wanted them for my cars I bought them from eBay for pence

I need a retainer for my driver's side floor mat, just the piece that attaches to the carpet. The floor stud is still in place. I'll try Daveenty's recommended sources. Thanks for the useful tips.

I've bought clips off the bay, they are not good fits, don't hold tight and keep popping out. They are mostly aftermarket as copy right, best go to the MB dealership. ;)
