hi all,

i'm trying to remove the now dead heater blower motor on my W110, that's a 1966 car, i've succeeded in undoing pretty much all the screws holding it in and i've undone the three water in/outlets to the engine bay, however the left side of it is still holding fast as the air vents are still there (its a left hand drive car)

the only way i can think of freeing it is to remove the dashboard completely but i cannot see how thats done, i havnt found anything online to help so is there anyone out there whos done this on a W110 and can tell me what to do ?

this is it >

i'll let the car rest for a few days and when i get inspired again i'll try and figure out how to remove the heater....

Well at least something good came out of it,,always nice to have those books.

When you do a google search for the 110 it brings up all of the Vitos

ok i got the blower motor plus whole thing out today, took a lot of effort but it eventually came out without having to remove the dashboard

we took the heater blower motor apart and the brushes had seized in place, so we renovated them and got them moving again by taking them apart, cleaning, resoldering and refitting, works like a dream now, will attach new hoses tomorrow to correct the leak and then when all ready will test again before finally reattaching everything

i will photo the re-attachment process and will post them up so others won't have to suffer like i did

cheers
