Need help connecting phone to car Bluetooth pls!

Hi all,

I’m John and I’m trying to get my Dad off my back

He has a 2009 CLC and a brand new Motorola G8 phone... he is getting them to pair with no problem but when making calls, more often than not the person on the other end can’t hear my Dad talking... are there any obvious things he should be trying?

Could it be the microphone is muted so the person on the other end can't hear what is being said?

Or check the settings in the phone to see if there is a "Use external microphone" setting that needs to be checked?
