I recently was given a 1974 280 slc with a 100'000 miles on it that had been garaged for greater than 10 years. It is original and according to the information on production models there was only 300 made in 1974. The VIN # is 10702210000007 which makes it the seventh produced. It runs and rides withouy problem. Is this worth anything as a collector item. I was going to fix it up for my kid but just want to make sure before altering anything.
Thanx, any info would help[.

It all depends upon the condition of the car. Your enemy is rust... A rust free example will always be worth something.

My mate sold an absolute dog rotten as a pear for foruteen hundred quid on Ebay. Amazingly, the punter turned up with the cash and drove the thing away. He wanted it for spares.

If I remember correctly the 280 was quite rare in this country - most SLC's were V8s as they were seen as 'top of the range' models here .
