So the weld on my 20"rear turbine hasn't held for the 4th time so I need to replace the wheel/wheels I don't want to spend 1k on a replacement for it to crack again when I seem to be able to get a set of 4 smaller rims with tyres for less

So the cars a s213 can anyone suggest what style I should go for and also what size 18' 19's

I'm going to keep runflats as they have now saved me 4 times!

This time I caught it was down to 4psi when I got back to the airport rather than seeing it when I got onto the motorway :)

I'd go with 17's - my old W213 had them as standard

Hmm I hadn't thought about 17's it does look a bit under wheeled though but would be comfy :)

Yours seems to be riding lower than mine :s

I did 48K miles in it in 18 months. Never had a flat and as I switched between winters and summers I didn't need any new tyres in the time I had it...

I guess if you're sat at the side of the road with a cracked alloy 20's would look better...;)

I'm interested in what they're like from the drivers seat, I don't give a flying fig about external fashion. Wheels and tyres for the roads we have, not for what we wished we had... ;)

Does that look under-wheeled? :D

Considering the state of the roads we (don't) enjoy, the above appears more than sensible

19s are a good compromise, 18s would be to small when your used to 20s, as for 17s no, they will look tiny.

Yep il stick with factory 18" wheels on my beast thank you very much! I want comfort not something that looks great from outside with skinny tyres ruining the ride esp with airmatic system, whats the point eh?

Wish I had been I haven't hit anything of note since the crack was found I just think the repair keeps being done badly and when it's flat flat it's bending the rim I could hear the air escaping this morning

Have you looked at the Mercedes used parts site - MBGTC ?

I bought a set of wheels from them a few years back and they were well packed, delivered rapidly and in perfect condition. Prices usually about £50 - £100 depending on style.

You'll find them here (in English): clicky

I bet its brand new. They send alot of NOS there.
They also really do well with recycling for end of life cars.

Hate to say it but the run flats contribute to the problem, the extra stiff sidewalls really don't do the wheels any favours
