I have had my 1986 300SL (107) for about 4 months and today the radiator input connector from the water pump broke off. My problem is the radiator is not the orginal one. Someone had replaced it with a 300E radiator held in with wire. Does anyone have the part number for the 300SL radiator and I could use a picture of it in the car. So far I have had to have it towed for a bad fuel pump and a broken Fan bearing bracket. I love the car but the wife is getting ****ed - she is the one that drives it.

Hi

If you can't find the original radiator. I would find a radiator from your local breakers yard. Find a radiator with the same fittings. Dosn't matter if the radiator itself is no good, as long as the two ends are ok. Then take both the radiators to you radiator repair man, who should be able to supply a new core or remove the radiator ends & fit to the old radiator.

Hope this helps

I could really use the help on the Mercedes part number for my 1986 300SL radiator. I am trying to find out if it uses the same as the 560SL.
