Neighbours Cars

Its getting so bad in our private drive that I am thinking of asking the local authority whether they can change the name of our road to Beethoven Strasse or something similar. Its like a bad day at the Frankfurt Motor Show.

The present count :

Immediate Neighbour Left : SLK230 (new)
Immediate Neighbour Right: E320 and Audi Estate
Cross the drive : Carrera 4, Previously Boxster and Carrera 2
Cross the drive Right: Carrera 2, RR Vogue, Audi Cab
Down 1 to the left : Carrera 4, BMW 535

Poor ole me stuck
in the middle : SL500, Golf GT TDI, R*ver 420GSDI (Better Halfs)


There now seems to be some sort of race going on to see who can have the most garages with the guy across the road contemplating adding on again to his triple to house a corvette presently on route from the states...

I am considering buying a rusty old marina and parking it very badly on the front lawn.... any idea's?

e, sell all there cars on ebay to undesirable types without telling them



or not worry about it...they are obviously trying to keep up with you so let them waste their money in much the same way you would treat a traffic light grand prix......

a, only been here a year so still smarting at the stamp duty to move again..
b, i think i read somewhere that shooting people is illegal
c, surrounded by farm land - no one would notice
d, i'd have to let my tyres down as well otherwise it would be too obvious

I'm amazed the neighbours havent complained to the council about your household, you are clearly lowering the tone of the neighbourhood - I assume you hide the Rover in your garage and pretend it belongs to a distant relative

you may have trouble keeping up with the Jones's, but at least you seem to have lots of off road parking, spare a thought for us city folk, we are ok but have neighbours where £300k buys a house with no where for the visitors to park.

actually...buy a tractor........then go to work on it early monday morning......that will get them up and they wont know whether to keep up with you or not.....and it will make you smile doing 28mph and that huge que on people behind........even better if you think about pulling in at farm gates by slown to around 19mph then shake your head and speed up again...... fabulous fun....... see if any of them by the jcb job that does 40mph.....and maybe one of them will get the JCB GT that did the rounds a few years back....if i get the time i might dig a pic out of it.

Next along is the manse, two mercs, Reg Nos. 1 ORR and 2 ORR. (never met these people so I don't know their name)

I'm not sure what the neighbour across the road is driving these days but he got a mention on Europsort news this morning. He had the wall at his road end knocked down recently and was blaming the wood lorries...:?

You dont call them sheds anymore, apparently if its big enough you call it a studio and add 10% to your house value....

I have just been looking out the window......and i realise that the road at the bottom of the hill is called the Hamme Strasse. I think the city was twined with somewhere in Europe....judging by the effoprt they made to put it in the mosty remote and totaly riduculous place i think it was Reykjavic!. It disects the area of the city where nothing was and means that you cant go there coz you cant get off it and it leads from a junction off a one way system directly to a set off traffic lights at whihc if you turn right sedns you back round a again. and you cant go straight accross as the Honda dealership is therr....so you have to turn left and then right again onto the ring round which will bring you back round to it again....eventually....which is why nobody ever drives on it. you could move there!.....lovely trading estate......and the biggest curry house you have ever seen (Closed down last year)

And you really should see where they put the dedicated bus lane! right down the centre of the road.....so all the passengers have to cross 3 lanes of traffic either direction to get to the bus stop...that will get them out of the cars wont it.....mind you they have just flattened the city centre bit and closed the roads so that donw matter much.

Nope...its a shed!.....never ventured into it...looks a bit spooky.

and here is something else.......what do you use your garage for......see the only people on my road who use theirs for cars are me and the women opposite. altho she does better than me coz she rents hers to a bloke what has a b reg 911 turbo. she leave the 206 outside.
everyone else does the washing in theirs.......why not make it into a room then? or put you cars in it so as i can get passed with clear vision then i dont go running over all of their children....and they always distract me by shouting things like...... hey mate,,,thats a nice car....

The Rover is left out on the drive as the better half goes out before me in the morning plus it must irritate the neighbours..

Interestingly enough its done 88,000 miles from new now and in that time it has had a set of tyres (due again soon) set of front pads - oh and a few bulbs......and gone straight through every M.O.T. Thats the problem with Rovers - totally unreliable......
