I've just bought my first Mercedes and only done 600+ miles. I'm aware of a high pitch note that appears at 32mph, reaches a high at 33mph and fades away at 35mph. I can't begin to tell you how annoying it is...... Mercedes technical have said they are unaware of a known problem. Has anyone else experienced the same or do you have any suggestions for a fix?

Just a wild idea - you don’t have some sort of setting as a speed limit reminder? Or is it a mechanical note rather than an audio one?

Edit - have you read the manual? Have a look at this:

Any idea at all where it might be coming from?

Thanks for the feedback... I left it for the day at my local Dealership, they acknowledged the noise and seemed confident that it was caused by the gearbox. Apparently when the technician test drove the car, he slipped the gearbox into neutral at the correct time and the noise disappeared. Having said that Mercedes technical have made no recommendations for a possible fix.
It’s at it loudest at 33mph.... I’m breathing on the throttle and when I lift off it disappears.... I breath on the throttle and back it comes. I’ve got it so spot on I can almost play a tune with it. Unfortunately due to Covid I cannot accompany a technician to identify and discuss the matter. I’d like to ask if it could be throttle or turbo related? I’m not feeling that I’m leaving the diagnosis to a top notch master technician and more like I’m getting fobbed off. I can’t ignore this fault and it’s spoiling all the pleasure of my first Mercedes.
