New A45 S - Build Times

Hi All,

Am aware I picked the worst time to do it, but at the very start of March before the current COVID-19 Lockdown/Pandemic I put down a deposit, & placed an order for the new A45 S Premium Plus + with my local dealer, was initially quoted as a 12 week build slot, around 30th May delivery. Obviously due to the current situation I know this will be increased but wondered if anybody is in the same situation and have you heard any news/rumors about what the rough delay will be?

Hi and welcome. It not only depends on when the factory starts up again but whether they can get all the parts they need some of which will come from China. Nice car though and well worth the wait!

I think I’d cancel and look for something next to new unless you’re prepared to wait anything up to a year, having said that there is little opportunity to use it until the lockdown eases but my view is the lockdown will continue in waves until a vaccine is available.

Welcome , cancel and broker a new deal when this is all over, you will get a great deal I’m sure...

Because of the factory shutdowns I think you will hard pushed to find a late used plus the prices will be going up quite dramatically
