Evening all,

I need a new battery for my CLK 200 Kompressor. My question is, do i just take the old one out and put the new one in? It may sound like a pretty daft question but i've heard all sorts of stories about how once the battery is disconnected, the electrics mess up, the windows don't work, electric fuses get blown etc.

Does anyone know if it's as straight forward as changing a battery on any other car? I.e. you undo the terminals, take the old battery out and put the new one in.

Cheers,

LS.

Hello LS , When you change it, turn the headlights on, and this will stop any damage done by a recently charged battery. Always take off the negative lead first. On some cars a normalize or re set needs doing, but not always change it and see how it goes, if you do it as above ,you will not damage anything. If anything does not work, just re post
