New C class power steering

Hmm..Server timed out as I was adding this earlier.
My point was that the power steering on my 4 month old 220cdi was very heavy. Wondered if anyone else experiences the same problems. RAC have checked it and agree its too heavy, but Mercedes refuse to admit theres a problem. I've driven 2 other c classes (whilst my other faults got fixed) and these are nice and light..

Do you have big wheels on it 17" or bigger?

It's a bog standard C220 cdi Avantgarde auto estate....

my c200K (2001/Y) has also developed heavy steering . Mercedes Colindale have said it requires a new steering rack (£1200 new).
