I was shown round a new C-Class today and was very impressed. I don't like the current model but this one has changed my mind about the small exec car. It is so similar to a small S-Class it's amazing. Has anybody else had this opportunity?

Apart from the one at MBW at Brooklands I had a chance to get a look at several when I was in Spain. They have been on release in Europe for a while now. It is a great car and will be the top dog in the small exec class. It is however a bit bigger overall than the outgoing C Class so no just an update but an upmarket as well. However unless I am sorely mistaken it is only the saloon that is at present being changed. The estate and sports coupe seem to be the same as before.

When I spoke to the dealer the other day, he reckoned the estate would appear in about 6 months and then the coupe in about 18 months.
