Morning everyone,

With w205 300 gone this week as the co is selling all of them I am moving on again.
Found a late 2008 w209 CLK 280 with all the toys 1 owner full MB and I am going to see it today. Aware of the engine issues and this model is beyond the issues. Think it may need new tyres.
Insurance is only £241/yr from Aviva. Got a quote for £711 for a Golf 1.6tdi 2015??? How? Road tax expensive but come on it's a Coupe 3L petrol.

I like the 209 having recently bought one myself. Hastings stung me rotten when l changed but as l had recently renewed l was a sitting duck. Not this year though! I'm afraid they all seem to try it on.

Sounds a good car, I like the W209, had a convertible CLK350 Sport a while ago, was a lovely car

Just got back. Ermm no.
Few things I found :
- cracked front bumper
- glove box not closing at all
- air filter housing loose? fixing points on the u/s just above the battery?? How?
- engine seems fine, bit shaky at idle below 2000rpm. Oxygen sensor? spark plugs? coil packs?

Apart from these full MBSH, almost new tyres, brakes/discs, last service in 2018 so it needs one anyway.

Update: I have seen 5 so far and all are abused and run down. Shame really!
I am going for a 350 tomorrow after work. More power, same mpg, lower insurance than a 280????. FMBSH + Wayne Gates MB Specialist.
I am now double-excited haha
