I’m not sure. It feels better now I’ve given it a good drive tho.Are there any software updates to be applied to your gearbox?
This may be a stupid question, but, if I’ve just paid £1600 for this to be done, and it’s not right. Surely I won’t be charged for taking it back again? I really hope not. But I don’t suppose anyone but the garage can really answer thatYou need to go back to the dealer & ask if the software updates were done.
Secondly tell them its still not right.
Yea that’s what they said took so long. The programming of the new conductor plate, apparently anyway lol. It seems a lot better now I’ve driven it a lot.Had this problem with CLK years ago.
7 speed conductor/electro plate has to be programmed using MB STAR diagnostics.
Find an Indie with MB STAR and knows how to use it.
£1600, that ****** expensive, 10-12 years ago it cost me around 500£ and been perfect since.
its this one....When a new tcu is fitted with a star diagnostic it automatically checks for new software and installs it if required. It may not have transferred the adaptations and might self learn or have to be manually adapted.
I really hope I don’t need a gear box rebuild lol. That sounds expensive. Cars only done 54,000 miles. Can driving fast cause issues. Like really spanking it? lol. Thought I’d better ask that cause if so, I’ll slow down a bit lol. Hopefully I’ll be upgrading to a gla sometime within the next 18 months. So car only has to hold out til then lol.its this one....
so drive about for 40 miles - if still a bag of nails see if an expert can fine tune the fill rates - if that doesn't work gearbox rebuild - which will be your problem not the guy doing the part replacement
I’ve driven about that now , and it feels ok. Back to normal pretty much. I’ve been driving a beat up golf the last 5 weeks tho, so the whole car felt off when I got back in it. Completely forgot what abs even was lolits this one....

Wow , that is well early !The conductor/electro plate failed on my CLK at around 52K miles.
