Nope I thought this too, but all is original and all there, thought it might fall to bits when I picked it up! Or might be nicked lol
But did all the checks and AA check thingy
AA guy spent ages and couldn't figure out why it's so cheap. I'm still waiting for it to blow up into a million pieces. I've covered 200 miles since Sunday last week
Nothing! Immediately starts all gears good
Not a drop of oil in sight either.

Yes thank you, it's alot to take in as last two
Mercedes I owned were a 280sl pagoda
1969 and 190 sportline both mint condition
Where this is much more technical on
Electric side. But can't see why it's so so cheap?

Paint man said it's all very original
Apart from faded paint.
No wear on seat bolster or steering wheel
Good history. Can't understand why it's so so cheap. Something wrong somewhere!

Been up on ramp covers off ! ??
Oh nothing! Like new! No leaks no damage!
Good tyres. Check under injection cover?
Nope nothing there either. Good wires
As owner told me he has mechanical guy
Recut seats for injection incase of black
Death. And as he said, it's been done
Good wires SBC pump was replaced 12 months ago also. Can't believe it for £850
It's crazy.

Sometimes you get lucky where some defects are less of an issue for some. The paint work could have put people off not wanting the hassle to have to put it into a paint shop for a week etc.

This era has a bad reputation for rust and Electricals but, my CLS320 cdi, is a beyond my mechanical capabilities and certainly looks cheap from a components aspect and not a patch on Mercedes from the 80s and early 90s but, it’s been fully reliable, never shown an EML or, had an issue despite it being the daily work horse. (Suspension and brakes have been replaced as needed but that’s normal wear and tear).
