Hi,

I have an E400d amg line on loan which I believe has the air body control suspension. It has a button where you can raise the vehicle.
It has the 19" wheels.

I have previously owned older S class cars and test driven the new S W222 as well.

From memory the S suspension feels smoother over bumps and generally softer in comfort setting.

Is the air suspension in the new E class a totally different system?

Thanks

I thought that only the All-Terrain version came with full air suspension now? This was implied by the MB configurator last time I looked.
Edit: For the saloons, only the E53 and E63AMGs can have full air suspension now - just looked at the MB website.

It’ll be the same system in here rail but setup differently to cater for the different handling characteristics required by their market segmentation

Thanks for the replies - I was just curious as to the difference between the full air suspension and the air body control.

'Air Body Control' is full air suspension, I thought. What it doesn't tell you is that the S-Class might have a more sophisticated system, perhaps?
The estates have simple air springs on the rear for self-levelling.

Modern S class have cameras that read the road/bumps - I believe they are the only variants that have this.
