New front pads and discs

need to fit new pads and disks on a A160

Am I right in assuming that the best option is to stick with genuine MB pads and discs?

I had previously fitted a mintex pad which was no where need as good as the MB (I thought Id imagined it till I had a new MB pad fitted)

Any advice?

Mintex do two types of pads one is hard wearing the other is softer,
One gives of more brake dust than the other can?t remember which is which though
