How long to demist a rear screen, and should all the elements demist pretty uniformly? And how long is a piece of string?

Had a new HRS fitted last year by Autowindscreens, (old one delaminating and only a few elements working)

In pretty mild conditions takes about 15 - 20 mins. to clear, I think it would take forever in a good frost. 13 elements don't seem to work that effectively, in that, after the rest of the screen is clear these are still struggling. Whilst the screen will clear eventually I don't know if its the radiant heat from the other elements that's doing the job. These 'slow' elements are grouped together in 3's and 4's with a couple of effective elements in between toward the bottom of the screen.

I was fortunate to be in Aus. during our cold spell so couldn't really test it in Arctic conditions.

Is this par for the course, or do we think it's a warranty replacement.

Many thanks

Mike

Obviously there are a lot of variables here but it certainly sounds like your rear screen heater is not working effectivly.
As an example, on my car the rear screen will have thawed from heavy frost within the time it takes to scrape the ice from the other windows, probably about 3mins and will be completely demisted within 5 mins.

Thanks George, that's just the sort of info I want.
