Hi guys, new to the forum and not a car guru by any means.
Took my 2012 C220 sport to the mechanics a month ago, told DPF needed regenerated/pressure brought down, this didn’t work as pressure came back up, was also getting air intake leak error codes.

Car is not boosting as it should when I drive on the motorway, which then forces it back into limp mode and engine light comes back on, won’t go over 3000 rpm.
However just took it another drive and it was driving perfect again (engine light still on).

Long story short, have had DPF sensor replaced, Boost sensor replaced and Inlet manifold replaced (previous one had cracked and seized), they carried out a smoke test and can’t see any holes.

What else could be causing this issue after all that’s been replaced?
Just seems to be never ending, I’m not sure if I should take the car elsewhere but would have to start all over again and already out £900

Thanks for any help,
Shane

Would appreciate any advice at all, it’s very frustrating as it’s driving perfectly sometimes and then not boosting and driving sluggish in a limp mode state at other times

Best place to start is always an indy (independent merc mechanic). They specialise in Mercedes and know/ have seen most problems before. If you say where you are I'm sure someone will be able to recommend someone.

^+1 as above and have your car diagnosed with Xentry and someone who knows how to interpret the fault codes.

I would update your profile so that everyone knows where you are, that way we can recommend a good indie near you.

Agree with the others that you should get this checked out by a decent Indy otherwise it’s just guess work. Could be related to EGR valve not sealing correctly.

Me -2019 GLC 350 coupe AMG line. Mrs- 1.2 vauxhall Corsa 2021 ,orange with a black roof. .
Did the garage do an adaptation on the new dpf pressure sensor , and deleted all fault codes first ?

Exhaust back pressure sensor is another known part to fail.
