Not sure what you’re trying to say with that link but classic cars that fail an MOT aren’t allowed to be used in the road, I don’t see any new law there?

Nowhere does your link suggest that older cars must have a current MoT.

My two classic MGs haven't been MoT tested for a few years. The MoT test is voluntary as stated in the article you linked to. There is nothing about an MoT test being a legal requirement.

Well dont bother, but i can understand it . A lot of classic car owners dont bother to MOT their cars that is what its all about .

If I had a classic I would certainly get a MOT check to highlight any issues. Oh wait I have my VW T25 camper.

I wouldn't go that far. Some people can't tell a spanner form a screw driver .... while some people can & are quite capable of maintaining their car to an acceptable standard. Having said that .... it's always nice to have AN Other pair of eye to give your car the once over.
