NEW MB Keys on Ebay!

I just bought some keys on Ebay. They were special (classy looking) MB blanks from China. They only cost a couple of quid but after being cut (which was daylight robbery at £16) work perfectly and look great. They have a brass MB star inlay. Most recommended!

What age of MB do you have? I thought all MB keys needed to be matched to the car for the immobiliser to be released and the car to start? I watched this done when I bought a spare key for our last SLK. It was either neccessary or a very good con by the service department!

Sorry, should've been more specific. Mine is a W124 300CE without any immobiliser!

Although doing a search for 'Mercedes key' in ebay does bring up a whole raft of different types including key blades for immobiliser keys and full blank/unprogrammed keys.
