Hi Merc Form members,
It’s great to be on board. I’m in the UK looking for advice on my Merc getting through its MoT with what looks like failed front N/S suspension.
Is it gas or strut?

Hello and welcome

Most 211’s have conventional springs in the front although full air was an option at the time.

Hi and welcome.
As above if you can see a coil spring its standard spring and shock absorber otherwise it will be air suspension.

Thanks so much.
When I get underneath the car I’ll let you know.
Next Q is how/ where I source the parts and do I replace the opposite strut so both equal so to speak?

Hi Everyone, hope all keeping well. The Merc is through mot, front springs, discs n pads all around, fresh oil, turbo actuator freed off, ABS Sensors, rear abs ring, auxiliary battery, EML light, ..... it’s now a flying machine!
Just need silver/Gold drivers side wing and estate Tailgate.
Anyone have spares or recommend source- I’m in NW England- massively great fuel to any help

Happy New Year everyone. My Eclass 320 CDI decided to go into safe mode caused by me being stationary for some time and running it on tick over. Not sure what the problem could be it seems to run okay just won’t rev out because it’s on safe mode anyone know how to get it off safe mode?

clk3202001,sl6002003 with everything regrettably sold ,A class 170cdi auto. NG/TF1800 ML250
I use a cloned star system from an ebay supplier, frankly forget how much ,others use icarsoft v2 for mercedes. Easily found with google. With star I find issue is familiarizing ones self when not using it for a while.but it will save u ££££s if u take time to master the basics
Icarsoft a less bulky thing to use, carry around,if I still have benz by may I might buy icarsorft and leave star in garage.
