I'm in the process of buying a 220 CDi (W reg - 2000 model) and am trying to find out the power output. Some sources claim 143bhp(like the new model) and some claim 125bhp. One source claims mercedes fitted the 143bhp engine to the W202 for about 18 months before the W203 was launched.

Can anyone enlighten me? Also does anyone have experience of any other chips/modules than Superchips?

The final question is - my car has the Elegance alloys with 195/65/15 tyres, will the 17" AMG rims fit straight on or are there some 16" from another model that will fit?

The 17" AMG Rims will fit straight on as long as you havenet modified the suspension.

Hi , The w202 cdi  in 2000 was fitted with the 125 BHP engine with about 220 ish ft/lb torque . As far as i know and am not 100% Sure about the model T , but the 143bhp version was only fitted to the w203 . What kind of condition are your elegance rims in?

Jason, the rims are in pretty good condition - I'm picking the car up on Saturday (next week) so I'll be able to give more info then.
