Thanks for the welcomes everyone, the delay in my posting was due to not looking for my email verification in spam doh. My reliable runaround is a ford Mondeo 1.9 cdti lol. Well I have fallen in love with the CLK but she is a work in progress. I was the proud owner of a mk IV Prelude for 11 years I so do like a classic good looking car. So far then on purchasing the CLK I was intoduced immediately to Limp mode driving it back to Wales from London I then discovered that local garages I have used previously do not like working on Mercs lol ( caused a lot of grief initially) I managed to get an O2 sensor reset and a full service early doors and started to enjoy the car. Then disaster struck , the car just basically started running like the provebial farmyard animal much worse than limp mode and at this point I was set to count my losses and scrap her, i read posts on here and thought gearbox had gone south engine management had had it etc all gloom and doom. So how did I end up back in love ? I found a local independent MB specialist who found thst the pipe from Turbo to cooler had split and saved the day I still have a few issues to sort but will pick everyones brains at a later date. I look forward chatting here from now on happy motoring everyone Mike.
