Hi all,

I have just picked myself up a 1992 300ce, and I love it. My first merc, I got rid of my horrible Clio 172 and got the merc as a proper everyday run around.
Have got to give it a service, but its been FMBSH upto 150k and its on 161k now, and got to decide if I'm going to keep up the history or just do things myself??

Have put a pic below, more are on piston heads link below too.

I have just won myself some AMG 17'' alloys on ebay too, so need to get them on when I can afford some tires for them. Not sure which ones they are, but they are the flat block spoke design.

Welcome to the forum and what a lovely car.

Average yearly mileage is <10K and maintenance history is good. As you will read on the Forum, most of us use independant specialists for maintenance, but that of course does not prevent you from doing whatever work you want to do on the car.

Franchised dealers will give a discount for an older car, but probably not compete with Indies on price.

Where do you live - I am sure people on here will be able to suggest an Indy to you.

Lovely car. Indies are the best place for cars like this. They often have more experience to call on and know a few cheap fixes for most things. At main dealers some of the techs weren't even born when cars like this were new!

Hi again, yes my first Merc, always had Uk or Jap before. And your right I think I'm bitten! :) Have just fitted a set of AMG 2 wheels I won off ebay, just fitted them. They look great. Will put pics in the Wheels section.

The meet at PCs sounds good, I will keep an eye for the dates.
