Ive bought a S reg A class 140 Advantgard 66K mileage done; at auction for £3340. Its got Brabus alloy wheels, which were £1500 new.
Ive only driven it twice (50 miles) & have had problem with the revs, told today by an independant that I will need a new engine control unit. The garage who told me this also said they cannot fit this part as has to be configured at a Merc Dealership garage. I called the nearest to me Mercedes Benz at Stanway Colchester. The quote with part, labour & vat is £952 reconditioned part & 1078.65 with new part.

If I sell back via auction I will have to pay 8 percent of the sale & £57 1st auction & £40 each auction after. If I sell for 3k I will loose £700.

Help...... The original mechnic did say this model does have other problems that may occur later & said its not a good model. Advice needed. What would you do?
