hi all i am from cornwall and have recently bought my first mercedes
it is a w124 1990 230te
i have always liked the older merc's the newer ones never did it for me but that is the same for any car i suppose after buy 2 new ones with nothing but trouble with them
the car has its minor faults but one which is really annoying which is when it decides to cut out and then wont start for about 1 min or 2 (seems to only happen when tank is quarter full)
has the odd bit of rust here and their mainly on the wing but has full merc service history and a pile of recipts
engine seems strong and happy to cruise along at speed limits with no problem although thier is a vibration when going straight or to the right but when turning left is perfectly smooth (could be a bush or mount somewhere)
looking at fitting a tow bar but seems a pig to do due to the exhaust
well have had a good look arround and seems to have a very good atmosphere here and a few members from down here also
