Hi,

New member here who wants to return to the MB fold. Sadly, I've just missed out on my desired car.
I am after a really specific spec/trim so here goes.....
2013 to 2016 E350 AMG Line Estate. Not too bothered about smaller engine cars.
Will consider any exterior colour but do not want a standard black interior unless it's the premium design. (The car I missed out was Cavansite Blue with Cashmere leather).
Mileage - no more than 50k and must have FSH.
Fitted options would be nice incl. detachable towbar would be very desirable.
Top condition cars considered only.
I appreciate that this is some wish list but I intend for this car to be with me for some time so would like to have the spec that I want.
I will pay the right price for the right car and am not a tyre kicker by any means.
I am located in Wiltshire but am willing to travel for the right car.

Was the Canvasite blue car at JMC? I was interested in that one too but decided against it.

Mercedes Crawley have a Tenorite grey Premium Plua with the premium black Nappa leather - no pictures of it online yet just a holding advert.

Hi. It was with a dealer in Paignton but they have taken a deposit on it. Shame as it seemed to be everything I wanted.
I saw the ad for the one at Crawley today. I'm not sure what Nappa is to be honest. My C350 that I had was Tenorite and it had fake leather which split over time. I found the dark interior a little oppressive (only my opinion) hence after seeing the car with cream leather, it looked really nice particularly with the Cavansite.
I'm also a little confused with the Premium and Premium Plus. What does this give you?
After having the V6 previously I know I wouldn't be satisfied with a smaller engine!

Ah Wilding Motors? The Nappa is the premium leather so it looks and feels lovely - I know what you mean about the all black though. The car I just bought has porcelain Nappa which really lifts the interior. The Nappa option has the stitching in the leather running lengthways along the seat rather than across it and you get the matching stitching in the door cards too.

The Premium Plus gets you the Harman Kardon sound system and keyless ignition over the Premium step. I wasn't bothered about the keyless ignition but having heard the Harman Kardon system that is definitely worth it.

The significant changes of the Premium spec over standard are the panoramic roof, reversing camera, and the memory electric seats with controls on the doors.

The Night Edition gets a few cosmetic changes plus upgraded brakes on top of either of the above.

The trims are summarised well here:

I hope that helps,

Matt.

That's really helpful. Thank you. Just the info I need to help me decide what I need.
Sounds like the one at Wildings was a great spec then. Even more gutted I missed it. It had a detachable towbar too which is expensive but necessary for me as I need it for my motorcycle trailer.
I'll keep searching. I can sell my Jaguar XF quite quickly so can jump when the right car comes up.

No problem. I kept looking at the pictures of the Wildings car, it was a lovely spec. I really wanted the 9G gearbox though so held out and did manage to find what I wanted. I ended up with more spec overall although I do wish mine had the 360 cameras like that car!

All the best with your search.

The 9 spd gearbox is the one to go for - much better than the 7 spd

Prices are still strong for low mileage 212 estates partly due to scarcity and the lack of big engined petrol and diesel cars. The price point for an equivalent 213 estate 350 BlueTEC is £10k more and the E43 petrol is £15k more than the Wildings example so there is certainly a premium to pay at the moment. A lot of dealers nowadays price high and gradually reduce the price on a timescale so waiting can pay dividends for the buyer but... there is always the chance that you will loose the car to another buyer. I payed over the odds for the BMW but I was happy to do that as it ticked all my boxes

I agree about prices. I'm happy to pay the right price for the right car. Difficulty is finding one with the spec I want. Sadly thought I had found it but didn't act quickly enough!
