Hello everyone!
I have just joined here so I thought I'd post a message here.
This is my second Mercedes, my first being a B250E.
I have owned the CLK for 3 years now, and it's a pretty decent example with just over 60k miles on it. It's Firemist Red with Quartz leather interior. The car has options 289/731 wood/leather steering wheel and burr walnut trim and 488 sports chassis tuning. It also has a little rust starting in the common places, but the colour does well to hide it.
As you might imagine over the three years I've had a few minor niggles. When I bought it it wasnt changing gears properly and it would randomly go into neutral when driving, engine was lumpy, and frequently went into limp mode. I fitted a Bosch EGR valve, and that cured all the mechanical issues. The passenger side rear window went too far up, so I fitted a replacement stopping part - that was fiddly - but sorted the problem! The drivers side one has just broken to so I need to get that fitted too.
A couple of days ago I had a huge gush of water appear from under the passenger side dash. After a bit of checking, the little drain was blocked for the reservoir under the windscreen. I cleared this, and ran my dehumidifier in the car to dry it up. Hopefully that will have cured it.
My latest issue is a top cylinder for the roof leaking, and hydraulic oil dripping from behind the sideskirt onto the driveway, which I assume is from the cylinder.
So anyway thought I'd say hello, and will enjoy browsing the forum and looking for mods and help and advice.
