New phone cradle required

Dear All,

I currently have a 2005 C Class with Command and phone cradle for a NOKIA 6021 built into arm rest. I have just changed my phone to a Palm Treo 680. I have 2 questions:

1 Do Merc do a cradle for this phone?
2 Failing that how do I get the blue tooth to work on th command, it seems to recognise blue tooth items but does not seem to be able to control them?

If the answer is no to both.....any suggestions?

Thanks in advance

Richard

1. Merc dont have a cradle for Treo
2. COMAND bluetooth is not designed to latch up to phone - designed for privacy hearing device - basically useless for all practical purposes.

The only way to go is using the new Bluetooth SAP phone cradle. This is not guaranteed to work with the Treo - in face merc certify for only a limited number of phone models, so you will need to check. Currently on ebay for decent amounts, but beware you might need to pay around £150ish. Cheaper than merc who are £250 I believe.

Thanks Timechaser,

Does the bluetooth cradle fit into the armrest or do I have to have it fitted to the dash?

Thanks for your help

The bluetooth is a UHI - Univeral Handy (german for cellphone - wonder why ) Interface cradle i.e. if you have had a cradle in the armrest, you can just swap the bluetooth one for this.

On ebay search for "Mercedes Bluetooth UHI" - and it should bring loads up for you.

Bluetooth Carkit.........

Or you could buy a bluetooth car kit, (Parrot, Nokia, Sony Ericsson etc) which will work with radio and ignition etc. Means you won't even have to have your phone near you. It could be in the boot and still work. If you want any more details, dont hesitate to PM me!
