So I’m over heating still on a hot day, 100 degrees. Clk 320. She’s had a new thermostat and new water pump and the fan kicks in when it should. Must be the rad? Did a rad flush a few months back and did chuck a lot of crap out but still gets too hot and the only way to keep it from getting hotter is to turn the heater on! Is there anything else it could be guys?
Cheers

Sounds like rad to me. I'm wondering if it's worth trying another flush before replacing. The first flush has probably continued to loosen debris and a second flush would undoubtedly be cheaper than a new rad.

+1 on stuck internal debris,

but,

what about stuck external debris (usually worst at the bottom of the rad).
Can you closely inspect the rad to see if it is filled with 20 years of sand and road grit glued in with 20 years of squashed flies etc?

Agree with Mr Greedy. Take the radiator out and use a jet washer or air compressor.

Get a cheap digital hand held temp gun and check the rad all over as engine warms up and at full engine temp.
2005 car should not really junk the rad up if it’s had the correct coolant mix, but if it is it’s always the bottom third from my experience and you ain’t going to get it clean enough to make much difference … yes it will run a bit cooler but you get some weather over 30c and problems back again so it’s better to replace it

Did you use a rad flush liquid -'recommended.

How many times did you flush the system till crystal clear?
