New Scottish W124 Owner

Hi all,

Delighted to be a new member of MBO - after many years of searching, I have just bought my first W124, a rather beautiful1994 W124 E280 automatic. My previous MB was a 2015 E220 AMGLine estate.
Sadly, due to current Covid-19 travel restrictions, am unable as yet to make the 375 mile journey to collect the E280...

Looking forward to sharing experiences, knowledge and tips, particularly with other W124 owners.

Looks great!
Drivers seat bolsters were prone to wear through (upholstery).
Rear arches got a tad rusty - but I have to drive through a muddy road to get home.
Make sure the gbox oil gets a service. Done mine first at 70k - it wasn't a service item AFAIR.
Otherwise they are very well engineered cars.
Engine on mine is clean as a whistle - only ever had mobil 1 and doesn't use a drop.

ps can you get it delivered. I used Shipley. Can you wait ?
